Bavel (Breda South) has been part of the municipality of Breda since 1997. This former village still has a characteristic village view. The village has a real heart; the center with the church and around it the shops (butcher, bakery, supermarket, optician, travel agency, etc.) In Bavel you will find mainly low-rise buildings. You will not find complexes with 5 or more floors. Detached and semi-detached houses are well represented. There are two primary schools and various daycare centers in Bavel. In the sporting field Bavel has a: football club, tennis clubs, fitness center and a riding school. There is also an outdoor swimming pool and a golf club a short distance away. For the nature lover, we also mention that Bavel is close to the Ulvenhoutse forest. Bavel (incl. Nieuw Wolfslaar) has approximately 7,400 inhabitants.

Description district: Bavel - New Wolfslaar

Nieuw Wolfslaar is officially located on Bavel's territory, but borders the IJpelaar district. Nieuw Wolfslaar is an excellent neighborhood for people who love the combination of city life and the tranquility of nature. It is a residential area with spacious homes. In the south with the atmosphere of an English garden village and the north has a more urban look. Street furniture such as lampposts exude the same atmosphere as the architecture of the neighbourhood. The design is contemporary, but with a nod to the 1930s. With regard to shopping facilities, you can go to the adjacent districts of IJpelaar and Bavel.
